Sustainable offer

We are aware of the environmental and social impact of our products and services and focus on local procurement. Among other things, we offer SSAB's advanced high-strength steels and toughened steels that are stronger, lighter and also more durable. We are proud to be part of the SSAB Group, which has embarked on a sustainability journey that revolutionizes steel throughout its life cycle – from manufacturing to end use and with a recycling rate of 100 percent. Today, SSAB's blast furnaces emit 7% less CO2 than the EU average, but SSAB wants more than that. Through innovations in the HYBRIT project, SSAB will deliver fossil-free steel to the market as early as 2026.

Tibnor also works in close collaboration with other Nordic steel producers, all characterized by high quality and resource-efficient production. In addition to SSAB's products, Tibnor also has strong relationships with Outokumpu, Ovako, Hydro, Celsa and Duferco Dansteel. 50-60% of Tibnor's material purchases today come from Nordic factories.
